Hello Linkedin Group members.

This site was set up to be develped as my own compaies home site over the next few months but the response to the creation of the LinkedIn Group: INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCERS and some great feedback to the groups ethos has had me thinking that I need to start to use the site as OUR home page as well.

As you know, thegroup was set up with the intention of getting creative independent producers hooked up with interested financial partners in an alterative way.

As we are all aware, the main problem with doing serious business in our line of work is that both groups are very concerend about protecting themselves. The creative needs to protect his or her intellectual property and the financial partners need to be protected from becoming involved in problematic issues surrounding these rights.

This issue is one that has evolved into a funtioning system for the mainstream media world but is still a major for the imdependent who is operating outside that larger system.

It is invisioned that we will be able to devise a system here, within the group, to make this exchange of intelectual property safe and easy for both parties.

It is our belief that there is an abundance of financial interest in film production that is not easily able to get their money place into projects that they would like and that being able to make this "meeting of the mnds" more accessable, will benefit us all.

Please feel free to contribute your thoughts abou the develpment of the site so that we can this this process up and running.
